The work I did at Fathead Media included 80% interviews!

My past year working at Fathead Media.

I got to use some pretty amazing equipment. I was in charge of shooting / editing / producing videos for clients. That means all aspects of each.

I met with clients and would talk them through their needs. My goal was to figure out their one objective for the video (more customers, brand awareness, etc). We’d then establish a budget. From their we’d create a timeline that would best fit their needs from production to final delivery.

I shot on a Sony FS700 and used a 7D as a second camera. In studio we had a giant 20×20 foot psych wall that we shot on (see interview above). We also had some fun toys like a DJI Ronin and a DJI quadcopter (that I flew quiet a bit). We also had a Kessler Cinestyle slider and a Kessler Jib.

Editing / Post-Production

My edit bay was pretty impressive – I was working on an iMac w/ another 27 inch monitor. When I started I used Final Cut X – but I slowly switched over to Adobe Premiere CC. I color graded in Magic Bullet Looks primarily. I also used basic curves and After Effects tools where needed.
